How should I take Levaquin?
Levaquin tablets are taken by mouth between food intakes or before eating. The daily portion could be split into 2 doses. Pills should not be chewed. Wash them down with 0.5-1 cup of water. What may interact with?
Taking aluminum and magnesium-containing antacids, sucralfate and Levaquin at the same time greatly weaken the efficacy of the latter. For that reason, the interval between intakes of these medications must be at least 2 hours.
When combined medicines that suppress the threshold of convulsive readiness with Levaquin, there is a significant reduction in seizure threshold; similarly in the case of quinolones.
