How should I take Claritin?
The drug is prescribed internally, regardless of the meal. Usually is taken once per day.
Dosage information
The drug is presented in the form of tablet. 1 pill contains 10 mg of Loratadine;
Children aged 1 to 2 years should take dose of 2.5 mg (1/4 tablet).
For children aged 2 to 12 years recommended dose depends on body weight: less than 30 kg - 5 mg (half tablet) one time per day, with a body weight of 30 kg or more - 10 mg (1 tablet) 1 time per day.
Adults (including the elderly) and adolescents over the age of 12 years are recommended to take Claritin 10 mg (1 tablet) 1 time per day.
For patients with impaired liver function or renal insufficiency, the starting dose should be 10 mg (1 tablet) a day.
What may interact with Claritin?
Cheap Claritin doesn’t have a lot of contraindications (except hypersensitivity), rarely causes side effects, compatible with other medicaments. The drug can be prescribed to children, adults, elderly patients.
Rx Claritin does not enhance the effect of ethanol (alcohol) in the CNS.
During co-administration with Ketoconazole, Erythromycin and Cimetidine was noticed increasing in the concentration of main active substance and its metabolites in the plasma but this increase is not clinically manifested.
What should I watch for while taking Claritin?

Consumption during pregnancy may be harmful for your baby. The active ingredients of the drug are excreted in breast milk; therefore the breastfeeding should be stopped.
What side effects may I notice from Generic Claritin?
CNS: in adults were observed headache, fatigue, dry mouth, drowsiness. Children rarely have: headache, nervousness, sedation. As in adults the incidence of these phenomena in children was at the same level as because of placebo.
